We are proud of our facility and have a group of members who look after the ground around the club. However, we need a few more volunteers.
So, If you would like to help the club keep the gardens around the slope in tip top condition, meet new friends and help us maintain one of the nicest slopes in the UK just come along. Come down with a fork or spade and some gardening gloves on any 2nd Sunday of the month and join in (Some tools available on-site). Geoff will give you a job and probably bring out the coffee after a short while. Thank you for your help in keeping our club looking in tip top condition.
Here are the next dates for our gardening meets:
Sunday 22nd September
Sunday 29th September
Sunday 6th October
Sunday 13th October
Sunday 20th October
Sunday 27th October
Always the 2nd Sunday of the month - 1000 to 1200 - (work as lightly or heavily as inclined).
For those who can't make a specific Sunday, then come down any Tuesday between 0930 and 1230 when the Maintenance Team are working. The entry fee is a pack of dark chocolate Hobnobs.
Come along with some garden implements such as spade, fork and secateurs. There are always jobs to be done around the slope and surrounding gardens. We even have time to break off for a coffee and biscuit break.
If you become a regular you can claim volunteer status and get free open skiing and equipment hire when in lessons too.
